This dated measure belongs to Beer City Cup. It is not an estimate of the whole independent sports market. Prize awards, team entries and player fields have different units and cannot be added together.
Origins
First competition year: 2010. The displayed observation has its own edition and reporting period.
Business model
Independently operated competition. The linked organizer materials document the selected measure; this profile does not establish audited revenue, profit or enterprise value.
Rules & athlete rights
We examine entry and exit rules, who owns and licenses an athlete’s name, image and likeness (NIL), and how income reaches the athlete.
Participation
Team registration and division eligibility. Check the organizer’s current eligibility and entry terms before applying.
Movement & exit
Contract release, outside competition and exclusivity terms remain under review.
NIL ownership & licensing
Individual NIL ownership and licensing terms remain under review. Independent operation alone does not establish OPEN status.
Athlete earnings
The headline counts participation, not revenue, prize awards or athlete income. Individual compensation is not verified by this source.
What makes a market OPEN or CLOSED?
OPEN · athlete autonomy
Athletes can enter through sporting ability without federation control over entry, exit or outside earning opportunities, while retaining control of their name, image and likeness (NIL). Event rules, safety standards and selection can still apply.
CLOSED · governing-body controls
Participation in a federation-governed system is conditional on compliance with that governing body’s bylaws and regulations. Registration and eligibility determine who can compete; transfer and contract rules govern movement, with financial and commercial conditions set by the system.
OPEN / CLOSED are NTG research classifications, not legal statuses. Selection alone does not make a system closed. Independence alone does not prove openness. An event media licence is not automatically a transfer of all NIL rights.
LIFECYCLE & GROWTH
Progress in its own time
Explore published amounts and organizational growth by year. Select a measure and a year to inspect its source. Exact comparable observations also support an index starting at 100 and years since launch.
Published values are shown first. Each series retains its metric, legal entity, reporting period and source. Calendar age is shown separately in the evidence table.

Annualized change
— Needs two elapsed annual intervals
Nashville editions only: 72 team entries in 2024 and 92 in 2025. These are entries per edition, not unique clubs or the total across all Beer City Cup cities.
Index = 100 × current value ÷ baseline. Annualized change = 100 × [(last ÷ first)^(1 ÷ elapsed years) − 1]. Calendar age = observation year − launch year; launch year is 0. At least two elapsed annual intervals are required here for annualized change.
Prizes, transfers, business revenue, programs and teams remain different measures. Only exact comparable observations are indexed or used for growth calculations. Published estimates and forecasts retain their labels; + amounts are lower thresholds. Missing years remain unobserved and no values are interpolated.
For the same 2023–2025 window: TST prize growth is +41.4% annualized; FIFA-reported transfer fees +16.4%. These are different financial flows, not a performance ranking.
